Xpu-Ha Ecological Park
Xpu-Ha is a stunning beach with shallow waters where you can practice diving and kayaking because there are almost no waves, and the water is crystal clear. Its transparent waters are perfect for swimming and venturing to dive in the nearby reefs. To the north, you can find an impressive cenote inside the mangroves. There you can observe multicolored fish and herons in the mangrove. In this paradisiacal place, you can find cabins for rent, two small hotels, and a bigger one at the southern end.
In this beautiful place, you will find beaches, ancient ruins, species of flora, and fauna; here, you can find various facilities to get some rest in this region. A beautiful strip of fine white sands serves as a key piece to this Ecological Park, where the Cenote Manatí is also located, one of the largest in the region and a lagoon with the same name of the installation. The list of attractions for visitors includes diving tours, tours of the cenotes, an aviary, catamaran trips, and diving lessons.
Yal-Ku Lagoon
Yal-Ku is a beautiful landscape where you can see how fresh and salt waters come together in a delicate ecosystem. If you visit, you will discover a large number of marine species and one of the most beautiful views of the entire coast. While swimming in these irresistible crystal-clear waters, you can enjoy the birds and the unique landscape of the lagoon. Punta Maroma
Located 6 miles from Playa del Carmen, Punta Maroma is a quiet place in the Riviera Maya with a beach with crystal clear waters and white sand. Its most notable feature is its beautiful coral reef, which is part of the Mesoamerican Reef System. This system is the second largest in the world, after the Australian Great Barrier Reef. The waters of Punta Maroma are fed by an underground river that creates a unique ecosystem in the area. The waters look like a pool of turquoise waters in the inner part, ideal for free diving in the coral reefs.
In Punta Maroma, there are tourist services of all kinds, including sports such as classic snorkeling and jet skiing and less conventional activities such as jet pack, horseback riding, or even camel riding. Between Punta Maroma and Punta Beté is the Tres Ríos theme park, located in a unique place where three rivers join to flow into the sea.
Tulsayab
One of the lesser-known spots in the Riviera Maya, Tulsayab, is one of the less-visited places by tourism, where you can appreciate the beauty of the Caribbean in its natural state. The place is not entirely virgin. It is located halfway between the Xel-Ha ecological park and the archaeological zone of Tulum. In the surrounding areas, there are enough services, and you can travel there, even with the family or group of friends, without missing basic amenities or going hungry. A lovely location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still secluded enough to relax and unplug.
