The countdown for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines new flight schedule from Amsterdam to Cancun is officially on.
Thanks to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, in just under 4 weeks on November 2nd 2021 a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will be taking flight from Amsterdam to Cancun 3 times per week. This new flight schedule to Cancun is in addition to the pre-existing daily flight from Amsterdam to Mexico City.
Pieter Elbers, President and CEO of KLM said recently in an interview, “It is great news that our network in the Caribbean and Latin America region is regaining its strength. We currently operate our global network at 60% capacity with 40% of the passengers. We do this in a safe and responsible manner, for which we were awarded the Health Safety Diamond Status from APEX. The next step will be to expand capacity and, as the situation allows, of course, welcome more passengers on board our flights.” said Elbers.
The airline has a very strategic network which is meant to help re-connect travelers with popular destinations and to help KLM rise up from this global pandemic stronger and a bigger competitor.
With the ever evolving health situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has stayed on top of their duties to adjust how they operate to help ensure everyone’s safety and to keep up with health & travel regulations. In result of their efforts and diligence they have been able to adjust flight frequencies, guest capacities as well as maintain preserving freight transportation for top priority shipping like medical supplies.
KLM has made numerous adjustments to their flight availabilities for the Caribbean and Latin America.
-New summer flights to Costa Rica
-New winter flights to places like Barbados, Spain
-Suspended flights to Cuba and Brazil
-Business as usual (for now) flights to Aruba, Curaçao etc.

KLM has recently received “Diamond status” from the Airlines Passenger Experience Organization (APEX) as well as a 5-star customer service rating. These awards are all thanks to their maximum flexibility when booking and their attention to detail when it comes to maintaining the highest possibly hygiene standards.
Although the airlines always do their best to keep their passengers informed, we encourage you to stay on top of travel restrictions and requirements for the places that you plan on travelling to, and travelling through. Travelling during a global pandemic takes come getting used to and it always helps to have a plan and know what to do.
