Cancun is synonymous with great nightlife, and for good reason. There are a huge number of nightclubs, bars, and hangouts here, with the largest and most sizzling found in the city’s Hotel Zone.
So when you’ve returned from your daytime tours, here are some of the best nightspots in Cancun to finish off your evening in style.
Coco Bongo
Many people say you haven’t really been to Cancun unless you’ve visited the legendary Coco Bongo. So not including it in this list would be madness – a bit like the club itself!
A huge establishment slap-bang in the middle of Punta Norte – the Hotel Zone’s main entertainment district – Coco Bongo offers a full-octane night out filled with good times, drinks and dancing.
With amazing aerial shows, stage shows, and its much-loved foam parties, Coco Bongo knows how to keep the atmosphere going all night.
Entry: Regular or Gold Member tickets cost $86-$156, Front Row tickets come in at $186.
Location: Boulevard Kukulcan km 9.5
Mandala Cancun
At Mandala Cancun, when night arrives, the party starts. Attracting a full-on crowd, this oriental-style club opens its doors at 9.30 pm ready for a night of fun and booze.
Capacity (in non-COVID times, at least) runs to 5,000 people. Themed nights are scheduled throughout the week, with Mondays allocated Carnival Party night, Thursdays are GONE WILD, a spring break-themed party, and Saturdays are the biggest night of the week. With impressive light shows and on-point DJs, you won’t regret a night spent here.
Entry: Golden Personal Passes start at $60 and Bottle Service tickets run at $200.
Location: Boulevard Kukulcan km 9.5, Hotel Zone
Chicabal Sunset Club
This is perfect for people seeking a chic afternoon in the sun, but with a party vibe. Chicabal operates two sunset clubs, one in Puerto Vallarta, and the other – ‘Magical Lagoon’ – is here in Cancun.
Open from 1 pm to 7 pm, guests can enjoy an inspired selection of cocktails while listening to the newest beats dropped by resident and guest DJs. Dining here is described by Chicabal as ‘urban gastronomy’ and is a big part of the experience
Lay back in a comfortable cabaña, enjoy the excellent (and beautiful!) service staff, and soak up an unmistakable Cancun sunset. By closing time, you’ll be primed and ready to move on to your evening’s next party destination.
Entry: Golden personal Pass from $60 per person, or the Bottle Service Pack costs from $420 per person
Location: Blvd. Kukulcan, Marina del Rey. Hotel Zone
HROOF
A club with the hashtag #NotForEveryone is definitely aiming for an air of intrigue!
The main focus at this edgy Cancun party spot is house music, so if that’s your scene, keep reading. Open from 10 pm to 5 am every Friday and Saturday, this nightspot should satisfy any appetite for partying. There’s an exclusive vibe at this club, so you’re guaranteed to feel privileged when you visit.
Clubbers are sophisticated here and the dressed-down look just won’t do. But once you’re in, the champagne will flow, LED light spectacles will impress – and you’ll experience a night that only Cancun can provide.

Señor Frog’s Cancun
Another classic Cancun party spot is the instantly-recognizable Señor Frog’s. It’s a restaurant by day, but when night falls, this becomes one of Cancun’s most popular and long-standing nightlife options.
Señor Frog’s is brightly colored and informal, encouraging singing, dancing, and drinking while you forget your worries and get in the vacation spirit. The tagline says it all: ‘At Señor Frog’s the only rule to follow is to follow no rules!’.
Music-wise, you can expect a wide range of styles from pop, through hip hop, to Latin. Join one of the foam nights or enjoy a live band – there’s something here to please everyone.
