Isla Blanca
Isla Blanca is a little hidden gem of Cancun on a virtually untouched peninsula. It is a spot that locals like to get away from the typical hustle and bustle of the tourism areas of Cancun, while still being able to soak up the magic that Cancun is famous for. Grab a picnic, your rental car (A taxi here will be quite costly and there is no guarantee of finding one for the way back) and start driving north of Cancun towards Punta Sam. Taking the Avenida Bonampak is the most direct route however, the López Portillo will also get you there. The road up to the beach is paved most of the way and then very quickly turns into a sandy road – once you hit the sand you’re no more than 10 minutes away from the hidden beach. There aren’t any big hotels or very many amenities at all out here. Just you, your honey, the pristine white sand beach and perhaps a couple windsurfers.
Isla Mujeres
Isla Mujeres is getting more and more popular as time goes on. This delightful little island is only a 20-minute ferry ride from Cancun and has some breathtaking beaches and backdrops to get photos of your special moments! The laid back and somewhat sleepy vibes really sets the tone to slow it down, be in the present moment and to feel all the love and beauty around you.
