The resort was initially supposed to open to the public in November of 2021, but faced delays due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Despite this setback, the Waldorf Astoria Cancun is sure to be worth the wait.

Located just 15 minutes away from Cancun International Airport, this unique luxury hotel sits alongside Cancun’s oceanfront, offering guests jaw-dropping views of the Caribbean sea. Guests are able to choose from one of 73 exquisite rooms, each set with a private balcony and plunge pool.

Those who want to take things a step further even have the option to stay in the presidential suite, which includes a private game room and gourmet kitchen. Concierge and room services are also included with every booking.

The Waldorf Astoria Cancun even has a range of pet-friendly rooms, ensuring that guests can relax as their furry companions are well taken care of.

The Waldorf Astoria Cancun boasts unique architectural design

The new build houses contemporary furniture in a soothing colour palette of earth tones and neutrals, with each room containing elegant works of art from Mexican designers. Each room also has floor-to-ceiling windows, ensuring guests experience as much of the Caribbean skyline as possible.

To complement the stunning rooms, the resort also has several luxurious amenities to ensure every traveller is well taken care of. Guests are invited to relax and recharge at the on-site spa, featuring over 20 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms and a sauna.

To add authenticity, each treatment is inspired by a traditional holistic Mayan practice. Travellers looking to pamper themselves further can also take a trip to Waldorf Astoria’s salon.

Guests are invited to sample some of Mexico’s authentic cuisine at one of five eateries at the Astoria. At the restaurants Malpeque and Chaya, guests can enjoy a sophisticated meal and drinks service – perfect for a special lunch or dinner. Poolside dining is also available at Ja’O and the Pool Bar, offering a range of cocktails, snacks and more to keep guests refreshed. Finally, the Peacock Alley Lounge and Bar hosts craft cocktails, coffee and exquisite snacks for an evening to remember.
