The Location

Location is everything when it comes to real estate and vacationing, and Costa Mujeres is in the perfect location.

Not only is it less than 30 minutes from Cancun’s main tourist area, but it’s also only about 30-40 minutes from Cancun Airport.

It’s far enough away from Cancun to have a more restful and relaxing vacation but close enough to enjoy everything that Cancun has to offer.

Costa Mujeres Vs. Isla Mujeres

Costa Mujeres is not to be confused with the nearby island of Isla Mujeres, but it is very close to the island.

It sits directly across from Isla Mujeres, so boat trips to this stunning island are inexpensive and quick.

You can take a ferry, or you can book a boat tour, many of which include snorkeling, lunch, and more.

Why Travelers Love Costa Mujeres

Don’t be mistaken; Cancun is still the most popular vacation destination in the Mexican Caribbean, but more and more travelers are loving Costa Mujeres too.

Most love the more laid-back, exclusive atmosphere, and the seclusion and safety of being in a gated community.

They also love the close proximity of so many other destinations and the opportunity to visit them while still being able to relax at the end of the day in a less congested Mexican Caribbean resort area.

The Beaches

The beaches in Costa Mujeres, specifically Isla Blanca, are one of the biggest draws for travelers trying to decide between Cancun or somewhere that offers a little more peace and tranquility.

Isla Blanca is a stunning wide stretch of beach with unbelievable views, soft white sand, and calm crystal-clear water.

Best of all, you’ll also find far fewer tourists on this secluded beach.

A few of the most popular include the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres All-Inclusive, the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa All-Inclusive, and the Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres.

Currently, there are more than 9,000 rooms between the several hotels and resorts that are in Costa Mujeres.

There are a couple thousand more that will be added over the next couple of years as well, as more hotels are currently being built in this new Mexican Caribbean hotspot.
