Cancun’s Hard Rock Hotel all-inclusive has been helping Cancun visitors make amazing memories for years and, from all indications, will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
This is because the Hard Rock Cancun just underwent a series of upgrades and remodeling in different areas around the property.

Updated Rooms
One of the most noticeable differences you’ll see the next time you visit the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun is the updates that were made to the hotel’s rooms.
The purpose of the updates was to allow for a bigger focus on the views from the rooms.
An executive for RCD Hotels stated this, commenting that the updates have given the rooms “a more minimalist image, strengthening the concept that their main attraction is the spectacular view they have towards the turquoise sea and the white sand.”
New Technology
New technology was added to the rooms during this recent update phase as well.
The rooms are now equipped with interactive tablets.
Guests can use the tablets to research information about the hotel, see what’s going on, and even order room service.
A Unique Pool Upgrade
Another major upgrade was the one the hotel made to its main pool and the area surrounding it.
They added a unique feature to the pool itself, a coating called Ekol, which gives the water a more realistic seawater look.
To complement this new look, the surrounding area was redone in a more sand-like color to mimic the beach and give the whole area a beach-like look.
Remodeled Restaurants
Hard Rock Cancun’s culinary program is anything but your average all-inclusive dining fare.
The hotel has five restaurants and a brick-oven pizza spot that are included in the all-inclusive service.
Frida is a buffet restaurant serving Mexican flavors.
The other four are a la carte restaurants and include Zen, an Asian-themed restaurant; Ciao, which serves Italian cuisine; Toro, a traditional steak house; and Isla Sur, which offers an array of seafood dishes.
Two of them have been updated to improve the culinary experience for guests, Zen and Isla Sur.
The Hard Rock Hotel Cancun
The 601-room Hard Rock Hotel Cancun is perfectly located at the center of the Cancun Hotel Zone, surrounded on either side by stunning white sand beaches.
The all-inclusive service is top-notch.
It includes dining, drinks, snacks, live entertainment, land sports, pool and beachside service, daily activities, and even 24-hour room service.
Hard Rock Cancun’s History
Before 2012, the property that is now the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun was the Cancun Palace.
The Hard Rock Hotel Cancun opened in October 2012 after being renovated while the existing hotel was still open.
It was Mexico’s first Hard Rock Hotel and was followed by several others that were revamped Palace hotels, including one in the Riviera Maya.
What You Can Expect To Pay For An Epic Hard Rock Cancun Vacation
At this point, you’re probably wondering what a vacation will cost at this remodeled epic Cancun Hard Rock hotel.
While rates vary depending on the time of year, for a stay in May, you can expect to pay around $450 a night, and during busier times, a bit more.
That’s with taxes and fees included, as well as all-inclusive service for two.
It’s pricey, but worth the price for an epic Cancun vacation in a newly updated Hard Rock Hotel.
