Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is demonstrating its confidence in tourism in Mexico by proceeding to open its first hotel, under the Esplendor by Wyndham brand, in Tulum, Quintana Roo.
The construction of the property required an investment of $11 million, as well as the creation of nearly 100 jobs. The hotel is expected to complete construction and be ready to open by the first half of this year.
While the new hotel in Tulum will be the first under the Esplendor by Wyndham brand, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts holds a prominent presence in the country, operating 58 hotels with more than 7,900 rooms across 12 different brands.
Speaking on the addition of its newest property in Tulum, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts Vice President of Operations for Latin America and the Caribbean, Eduardo Cruz del Río stated:
“We are very excited to announce the opening of Esplendor by Wyndham Tulum Nook. We not only welcome one of our lifestyle brands to Mexico, but we also confirm the confidence that Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has in the country, and we continue to strengthen our portfolio to welcome more destinations. “

The hotel will be distinguished under the Esplendor by Wyndham brand as it will offer an original, careful and intimate artistic experience through themes inspired by exploration and openness to new experiences.
The property will feature 96 rooms, each with a capacity of up to four guests.
Amenities include an outdoor pool, spa, whirlpool, gym, and tasting of regional dishes at the restaurant and poolside bar. Complimentary breakfast will also be provided to guests.
The hotel is located within a ten-minute radius to Tulum’s magnificent beaches.
Guests will also be provided exclusive access to the Vagalume Beach Club, with the availability of free daily shuttle service.
The addition of the brand in Tulum is considered an opportunity to capitalize on Tulum’s beauty and potential while attracting tourists to discover the city.
Accordingly, Vice President of Marketing, Communication and Loyalty, Jimena Faena stated:

Currently, there are seven properties under the Esplendor by Wyndham brand in Latin America, including five in Argentina, one in Paraguay, and one in Uruguay.
