Marriott’s First Ever All-Inclusive Resort Opens In Cancun

Last Updated

Marriott has taken a major step forward in further improving its luxury offerings in Cancun with the opening of its first-ever all-inclusive resort in the coastal destination.

Marriott's First Ever All-Inclusive Resort Opens In Cancun

While Marriott owns & operates a number of resort chains around the world, Marriott Cancun is the first all-inclusive property under the Marriott brand in the Mexican Caribbean.

Work recently wrapped up on transforming the former EP Marriott Cancun into a proper all-inclusive resort, a groundbreaking project consisting of 450 rooms and an impressive list of amenities.

The move comes as Cancun’s popularity continues to skyrocket with travelers, with more and more visitors opting to book accommodation in the city’s ever-growing list of all-inclusives.

With that in mind, here’s the latest on Marriotts’ new all-inclusive Cancun undertaking.

Marriott To Enhance Cancun Offering With New All-Inclusive Property

Cancun’s sought-after resort zone has been growing at a steady rate ever since its conception several decades ago.

Even in 2024, new properties are being announced on a yearly basis.

But with space being a huge limiting factor – Cancun’s hotel zone occupies a thin strip of land – many firms are choosing to renovate existing properties.

This week, Marriott became the latest hospitality giant to open a new project for the sunny destination, officially opening its much-awaited Marriot Cancun all-inclusive.

The massive 450-room resort opened to the public after its predecessor – the EP Marriott Cancun Resort – was closed for extensive renovations. With work out of the way, travelers can once again book a stay at this new-and-improved luxury resort for the ultimate relaxing getaway.

According to the hospitality giant, the brand-new property aims to win over the growing number of families that are choosing to vacation in Cancun; featuring amenities and facilities for travelers of all ages, this exclusive resort is perfect for the whole family.

Marriott is one of the most renowned international hotel and resort chains, offering premium stays for business travelers and luxury enthusiasts.

However, the company has been reluctant to enter the world of all-inclusives.

That’s what makes Marriott’s latest Cancun undertaking so important: it’s a chance for the firm to showcase its cutting-edge experience in hospitality and to test out unique services as part of its growing brand.

Among Marriott Cancun’s most advantageous features is its prime location, nestled in the heart of the city’s resort zone.

The recently refurbished resort boasts a modern design with calming beige hues and a splash of tropical color emanating from the expansive beach and pool views offered from most rooms.

Outside of its stylish rooms, Marriott promises to unlock unforgettable experiences for guests thanks to its inviting outdoor pools – with a separate kids pool – and personalized concierge services.

As one would expect, Marriott Cancun offers a broad range of on-site dining venues, including kid-friendly options like the 750 Pizzeria and the American-inspired Mo’s Burgers & Shakes.

Marriott Cancun is an ideal choice for families that just want to relax & unwind in the safety of the city’s prestigious resort zone.

More intrepid families can benefit from day trips to El Meco and Tulum’s Archeological Zone, two excellent options for those seeking a vivid cultural experience.

Regardless of your vacation preferences, Marriott Cancun is currently one of the top new Cancun accommodations, with guests leaving excellent reviews of the resort’s common facilities and exclusive services.
