Coco Bongo – Playa del Carmen

Most people know that Cancun has a Coco Bongo, and it’s one of the city’s most popular club nights. But many people don’t know there’s also one in Playa del Carmen. And while Playa del Carmen’s Coco Bongo isn’t as high profile as its Cancun counterpart, it’s just as crazy.

You’ll find non-stop shows and entertainment, from a Mask-inspired performance to full-on 60s vibes with The Beatles. Plus, it wouldn’t be Coco Bongo without a foam party!

The club is centrally located just off the famous 5th Avenue, and there are plenty of bars nearby where you can stop in for a pre-drink before the main event.

Clandestino

Clandestino is one hot venue for a dance party, with a tropical-themed interior spread across two floors. The clientele is a mix of locals and expats, making for a great intercultural feel and good vibes at all times. Music is mixed, with something for everyone, and is guaranteed to keep you on the dance floor into the small hours. 

The service is attentive, drinks are high-end and there’s a rooftop dance bar – what more could you need for a great night out?

Also open during the day for food and hookah, Clandestino is a true day to night venue. 

Mandala Playa del Carmen

Mandala is one of Playa del Carmen’s biggest clubs and regularly sees guests dancing until dawn. It’s another of 12th Avenue’s legendary venues, with a unique Asian-themed interior that’s very…pink. Aimed firmly at a cosmopolitan crowd, Mandala is a classy night out, perfect for getting glammed up with your girls and guys. 

The music staple here is EDM and those beats will keep you going right through the night. And an ever-popular bottle service is available, although be warned – it doesn’t come cheap. 

Palazzo Disco

Palazzo Disco is located along the party-centric 12th Avenue and is another of Playa del Carmen’s most renowned nightspots. Filled with flashy neon and glamorous decor, this is the place for Playa’s beautiful crowd, dressed to impress and ready for a good time. 

Expect world-famous DJs, alongside fun theme nights every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.. Open bar tickets are available, as is bottle service – cover varies.
