Winter travel season for Cancun is fast approaching, and with it will come a slew of amazing events to kick it off. It’s always summer in Cancun, but the winter months in North America mean that more travelers are starting to flock south in search of sunnier skies. And with a record number of tourists that have already visited Cancun so far in 2022, this winter season looks like it’s gonna be big. While the Just for Laughs Escapes was unfortunately canceled, there are still a ton of events to check out in Cancun next month.
Get ready to see some of your favorite music legends in paradise. Here’s a look at the top events coming to Cancun this November to kick off the high season.
Cancun Jazz Festival 2022
Sunday, November 6 – Wednesday, November 9
Taking place in Moon Palace All-Inclusive Resort is Warren Hill’s Cancun Jazz Festival 2022. Featuring a soul jazz and smooth jazz stage, this popular 3-day music festival has been happening every year in the Riviera Maya since 2000.
This year’s festival lineup is looking pretty great, with the likes of Robert Glasper, Lupe Fiasco, Kamasi Washington, Esperanza Spalding, Bilal, and Chief Adjuah headlining the Soul Stage. The Smooth Jazz Stage will welcome some world-class performers. Included in the festival lineup are Kenny G, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Boney James, Will Downing, and more.
As a bonus, the Cancun Jazz Fest will close off with a post-night add-on on Wednesday, November 9th, with a performance by none other than Earth, Wind & Fire. This event will also mark the start of Cancun Solfest 2022.

Solfest Cancun
Wednesday, November 9 – Saturday, November 12
This is a lineup, folks. Get ready for Solfest Cancun, happening the second week of November at the Moon Palace Resort.
Performers at this year’s Cancun Solfest include Erykah Badu, Monica, Anthony Hamilton, Kem, Bell Biv Devoe, and Raheem Devaughn. Additional performers are to be announced, so keep up to date with the latest Solfest news. Tickets for the festival are also still available.
The Moon Palace Cancun is a 5-star all-inclusive resort experience is located just 15 minutes from the Cancun International Airport. The hotel hosts big events like the Cancun Jazz Fest and Solfest. We Are Mexico 2022
Saturday, November 19 – Saturday, November 26
Ready to party in paradise? We Are Mexico is a week-long house music festival that mixes poolside dance parties and outdoor excursions for all you party-loving adventurers out there.
Hosted by Pollen Presents, this year’s festival features some of the U.K.’s biggest names in the industry, including Danny Howard, Hannah Wants, Darius Syrossian, Lauren Lo Sung, Loco Dice, MK, Sam Divine, and more. You can see the full lineup on Pollen’s event page.
Events for the festival will be taking place throughout the week. We Are Mexico’s highlights include the Abode Oasis Pool Party, evening performances by Danny Howard & Sam Divine, and lots of opportunities for relaxing and outdoor excursions along the way.
