Last Updated

Cancun is notorious for the late nights followed by late starts to your mornings – so naturally, there are some pretty epic spots to indulge in a much needed brunch to get yourself going for another day of fun in the sun. Here are 5 brunch spots not located in your resort for you and your group to try out.

Hacienda Sisal

The food and hospitality at Hacienda Sisal is a labor of love that starts from the source. Their rich blend of locally sourced ingredients and the appreciation and intention that goes into the food as its being prepared by the chefs – makes the food here just that much better! Their Sunday brunch spread is a combination of traditional Mexican cuisine and the price includes a tasty mimosa!

El Huerto del Edén

El Huerto del Edén basically translates to “Garden of Eden” and they have a very extensive menu, the breakfast menu alone is 6 pages and full of so many tempting goodies! On their website they rant and rave about how they “integrate the nature, culture and traditions and beautiful Mexico” into their dishes. Which in my opinion, is beautiful! Rated 4.5 stars on both Google and Trip advisor they have become a go to stop for many locals and visitors.

Restaurant Natura

Their name totally reflects their food and their décor – natural and generally organic. Restaurant Natura has an intimate setting with seating options outside. With over 20 freshly squeezed juice options and a plethora of egg-scramble or granola-yogurt combos, there is an option for every palate at the table.
*Note: Free Wifi and Vegetarian options available!

Marakame

Okay, this place is on my personal list of places to check out the next time I’m in Cancun. Who wouldn’t want to start Sunday-funday with specialty quesadillas and fresh squeezed fruit juice while being serenaded with a live acoustic guitarist, in one of the most beautiful and fun-filled places in Mexico? Marakame is the whole package deal- fun, delicious and affordable! The building is build around two living trees and is more of a wicker and thatch style restaurant that is sure not to disappoint.

Café Antoinette

This French/Mexican café bakes their own fresh saber-size baguettes and croissants everyday! They also serve crepes, different egg dishes and even mimosas if you’re craving something stronger then coffee! Previous guests keep coming back for their amazing service and their “blissful macarons”. With 3 locations in Cancun and 1 location in Playa del Carmen, Café Antoinette is accessible for many!
