Despite its already record-shattering travel popularity, there appears to be no end in sight to Cancun’s resort construction boom, with 3 luxurious properties opening their doors to travelers this summer.
And with more visitors expected to flock to the sunny city this summer, these new luxury resorts will solidify Cancun’s reputation as a world-class hospitality heavyweight.
A total of 3000 new hotel rooms will become available to travelers in Cancun this summer, with plenty more to be found in surrounding destinations like Costa Mujeres and Isla Mujeres.
As Cancun skyrockets in popularity with American travelers, here’s what visitors can expect from three of the city’s newest resorts this summer.
Luxury, Amazing Views, And Impeccable Service To Feature Strongly In New Cancun Resorts
Cancun has never been as popular as in 2024, with a record number of travelers expected to set foot in the sunny coastal destination this year.
The Maya Train, which will fully open to travelers sometime in September, is set to fuel interest in the sun-soaked region.
But even now, several months before the peak of the summer high season, a number of international hospitality firms are getting ready to launch new resorts in Cancun amid soaring demand.
AVA Cancun
Among the most ambitious resort projects to date in Cancun is the brand-new AVA Cancun, which is slated to open its doors to travelers in late May this year.
The towering resort complex is one of Hard Rock International’s largest projects to date, promising to deliver guests an unforgettable music-infused stay.
The huge resort is located towards the end of Cancun’s resort zone, offering visitors ample views of the ocean and direct access to city beaches.
The high-end property will also boast some impressive facilities, including a kilometer-long pool running adjacent to the beach.
A family-friendly resort, AVA Cancun will compete with some of the largest entertainment-heavy resorts around the world, such as those found in Las Vegas and Hollywood.
Hyatt Vivid Grand Island
Travelers won’t have to wait until summer to experience the modern atmosphere of the new 400-room, 5-star Hyatt Vivid Grand Island as the property opened its doors to guests this month.
The newest addition to Cancun’s growing repertoire of luxury properties, Hyatt Vivid Grand Island delivers Mayan-inspired charm in one of the city’s most unique natural landscapes.
The luxurious property is nestled on an island between Nichupté Lagoon and the Caribbean Sea, offering stunning panoramic views that complement the modern look of the resort.
Aside from its gorgeous vistas, this trendy resort features 11 dining venues, three outdoor pools, and a beach club.
Guests can take advantage of some of the best concierge services in the city, with eco-adventures and underground rivers being just some of the many activities on offer.
Marriott Cancun
Marriott Cancun is the first all-inclusive resort to be operated by Marriott, one of the world’s leading hospitality firms.
The 5-star property officially opened its doors to travelers this April.
The high-end resort is thus looking to capitalize on the approaching record-breaking summer season when millions of travelers will pour into Cancun and the surrounding regions.
Featuring fully renovated suites, modern interiors & common areas, Marriott’s groundbreaking new property is sure to make an impression on discerning travelers.
Some of the resort’s standout facilities include its 10 modern restaurants, boasting a range of International culinary hits.
Its prime location in the heart of the resort district makes this new resort one of the best for exploring Cancun’s Mayan history & renowned white-sand beaches.
