Luxury resort specialist, Auberge Resorts Collection, has announced a new resort coming to the Riviera Maya in December. Home to a vast selection of luxury resorts – including these with desirable swim-up suites – this part of Mexico is a longstanding favorite with visitors.
Read on to find out the latest news on this new resort, which will be open just in time for those ever-popular Christmas and New Year’s getaways.
What Is The New Resort Called?
This brand new resort – Auberge’s first in the Mexican Riviera – is called Auberge Etéreo. In Spanish, Etéreo means ethereal, and this is definitely the vibe the hotel is going for. Providing a relaxing environment, you’re invited to unplug and take a step back from the stresses of modern living.
Where Is Etéreo located?
The Auberge Etéreo resort is located a few miles north of Playa del Carmen in a secluded setting right on the beach. Yet, this great location is only a 40-minute drive from Cancun International Airport.
When it comes to natural wonders, the location of the resort is pretty unbeatable, set in a beautiful beachfront mangrove forest. There are numerous Mayan ruins to explore nearby, and the cosmopolitan Playa del Carmen, with its enticing selection of shops and restaurants, is only a few minutes away.
What Are The Rooms Like At Auberge Etéreo?
The luxury resort has kept the number of suites low, to ensure guests can appreciate the peaceful surroundings. There are 75 suites, and – a rarity in Mexican Riviera resorts – every single one has a view of the ocean.
Accommodation options range from spacious 875 sq ft studios right up to the largest 3,900 sq ft suites. Here’s a bit more about what you can expect:
● Studios
The design-rich, natural, and comfortable studios make the most of the views, with beds facing the floor-to-ceiling windows, making sure you can enjoy the stunning surroundings from the moment you open your eyes. Some studios have plunge pools, all have a private furnished terrace.
● Suites
The smallest suites, at 1,375 sq ft, offer a whole range of luxurious touches. They share the same pleasing design esthetic as the studios, but on a larger scale. These accommodations include a plunge pool on the private terrace, a butler service, a separate sitting area, and one and a half baths.
The largest 3-bedroom penthouses are spread over two floors, with two plunge pools and an impressive double-height glass wall. There are four baths, and lovely entertaining and sitting areas, in addition to multiple terraces where you can take in the tropical surroundings.
What Facilities Do They Have At Auberge Etéreo?
If you ever leave your room – and to be honest, it would be easy not to – there are plenty of facilities to maintain the focus on relaxation. The public spaces are filled with beautiful pieces of art sourced from local Yucatan artists. The public pool area is set slightly apart from the main accommodation area and has lovely views of the ocean that you can enjoy from the strategically placed day beds.
The entertainment is heavily wellness-focused, with a full program of retreats, activities, and rituals to enjoy. The on-site spa, Sana, is designed to heal and offers a range of more unusual services, including ‘moonbathing’, a Mayan full moon ceremony, and floating massages.
When it comes to dining, you’re in for a treat, with four gourmet options, ranging from Itzam, a Mayan specialty restaurant, to informal daytime dining options to enjoy by the pool. There’s also a Peruvian-Brazilian hybrid restaurant that uses Japanese techniques to elevate the already delicious ingredients to another level.
How Much Does It Cost To Stay At Auberge Etéreo?
Prices start from $1,299 per night.
Are There Any Launch Promos At the Etéreo Resort?
