The new route is set to fly travelers to Cancun from Canada Jetlines’ travel hub at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). When the route launches, Canada Jetlines – which only flew its inaugural revenue flight just over four months ago –  will be the 7th Canadian airline to offer a route between the two airports. It will join the following airlines in doing so:

Sunwing Airlines, Air Canada, Flair Airlines, Air Transat, Swoop, and WestJet.

The new route is set to launch in March of this year, meaning travelers won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on what are likely to be super-low fares to the world’s most in-demand destination. The route is set to have an initial frequency of just two flights per week, though this is expected to increase over time. With Cancun’s high season typically ending in April, the new route will ensure that Canadian travelers have more options when it comes to visiting Cancun during unseasonal times.

Canada is one of the top countries for international tourists to Mexico, and we are pleased to connect Canadians to their favorite sun destinations as they begin to plan winter vacations.”
