The announcement comes as Costa Mujeres sees its popularity skyrocket with new resort projects. Known for its white-sand beaches and laid-back atmosphere, this idyllic destination has been topping the charts as one of the trendiest Mexican Caribbean hotspots this year.

Here’s the latest on one of Hyatt’s newest and largest upcoming resorts.

Hyatt To Bring New Luxury Options For Costa Mujeres Travelers

As Cancun’s resort zone becomes increasingly packed with both travelers and massive hotels, visitors are increasingly seeking a quieter yet equally beautiful sun-soaked alternative.

With 509 rooms, the resort will be on the larger side. And although this likely means the property will be quite busy, its massive size will also allow it to offer more amenities, from stunning pools to palm-tree-lined dining venues.

While all of the property’s rooms will feature eco-friendly and calming designs, the Preferred Club suites push the envelope for luxury experiences, offering swim-out pools, exclusive pools, and services, as well as a VIP lounge.

Hyatt is taking note of evolving travel trends and will be offering guests a unique variety of experiences that highlight local authenticity and nature. Taking advantage of Secrets’ pristine seaside location, travelers can enjoy outdoor activities like snorkeling, kitesurfing, and whale shark tours.

There’s no shortage of food and drink at Hyatt’s new Costa Mujeres flagship resort, with 9 high-end dining options including 6 gourmet a la carte eateries, in addition to exclusive gastronomic experiences like tequila tasting and cooking lessons.

And with Hyatt’s Unlimited-Luxury concept, everything from food and drink to entertainment is included in one luxurious package, making this one of the best luxury Caribbean getaways near Cancun.

“There is a growing demand for luxury experiences in Mexico. We are benefiting from this demand by expanding our presence in new destinations”, said Javier Coll, head of development for Hyatt.

It’s not a coincidence that Hyatt has chosen Costa Mujeres as the location of its newest luxury resort. The charming coastal village is not only a hotspot for new resorts, but also one of the best locations near Cancun for a seaside getaway complete with stunning ancient Mayan history.

Costa Mujeres offers excellent safety and tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of resort hubs like Cancun or Playa del Carmen.

Although Costa Mujeres is much smaller than Cancun, with fewer resorts, the coastal town is expected to skyrocket in popularity in the coming years. Several firms have already announced new properties in the area representing several thousand rooms.
