Marriot Is Opening Its First Hotel In Tulum This Month

Marriott International is opening its first ever hotel in Tulum, Mexico. The Aloft Tulum will open this month and feature 140 loft-style guest rooms and suites. The property offers a variety of lively spaces for socialization and music including a signature Ático Rooftop Lounge & Bar, and the destination’s only venue for corporate meetings.

“Tulum is currently having its moment as one of the hottest travel destinations. We look forward to turning up the heat with the addition of our Aloft Hotel and rooftop bar,” said Sergio Parra, Aloft Tulum general manager in a press release.

“This will be the area’s first internationally branded hotel, which is synonymous with outstanding service. Leisure and business travelers alike can enjoy an unplugged vacation, yet stay plugged in through the hotel’s innovative technology and happening music scene.”

The hotel is located between Tulum’s downtown and white sand beaches. Marriot is looking to attend next-generation travelers looking for impressive technology and comfort. Travelers will enter the hotel’s lobby and be greeting by urban art that is changed seasonally, modern furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows. Guest rooms will boast 10-foot high ceilings and plush platform beds that deliver the ultimate comfort.

Amenities include the Atico Rooftop Bar and Lounge, rooftop infinity pool, grab-and-go eatery called Re-fuel; a lounge called Re:mix and the WXYZ bar. 

The property also features a state of the art gym and over 2500 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate up to 240 people once meetings safely can resume.
