In 2024 a new Hyatt hotel will be coming to the Cancun. The Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort will be the 18th hotel owned by Hyatt in the city. The beachfront resort promises stunning views of the Caribbean sea and luxurious accommodations with over 500 rooms.
The Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort will join a select few in the Americas that are already part of the new brand that the company recently added to its portfolio. Other hotels that are part of this brand include Grand Hyatt Nashville, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Grand Hyatt at SFO, Grand Hyatt Bogotá, and Grand Hyatt Vail. All of these properties are less than five years old, as this is the newest brand under the Hyatt name.
Hyatt has a total of four different collections of hotels, each collection offering something unique and different from the next. The different collections consist of the Inclusive Collection, the Timeless Collection, the Independent Collection, and the Boundless Collection. The two existing Hyatt properties in Cancun, Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara, both fall under the Inclusive collection, offering all-inclusive amenities.
The Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort is being developed in collaboration with Diestra Realty. This is the first Hyatt brand hotel that the company itself has collaborated with in Mexico but the company is confident that it will be a success. CEO of Diestra Realty, Jorge Paoli, stated that “A great deal of work has gone into the design and development of the hotel to create an environment that exceeds our guests’ expectations,” and that they “anticipate a very successful collaboration.”
The new Hyatt resort will consist of 500 rooms, 28 of which will have their very own pools. Additionally, 46 of the rooms will be luxury suites, including one Presidential Suite. The property will also have six bars, including a beach shack, a swim-up bar, and a lobby bar, and it will have 11 different restaurants that will feature some of the best chefs in the world. Add to that three pools and indoor and outdoor spas and you have a luxurious property that is sure to leave every guest feeling pampered and refreshed.
Just in the Cancun Hotel Zone alone there are nearly 100 different hotel and resort properties and more and more keep getting added to the list as the popularity of the Mexican Caribbean city grows. The new Hyatt property is not the only new resort to be added to that list this year and likely will not be the last. If it’s anything like the other Hyatt brand properties located within the city, then guests can expect world-class service and great amenities at the new Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort.
Even with the vast number of resorts that are located in and around the Cancun Hotel Zone the lodging industry was reporting nearly 100 percent capacity at the beginning of the year. Even now that the spring break and Easter holiday have passed the city is still full of tourists and expecting millions more over the next few months. Visitors to Cancun come from all over the world to enjoy the spectacular beaches and laid-back atmosphere.
