It is no secret that the Mexican Caribbean is experiencing a surge in its tourism sector this year, as it looks well on track to beat all previous tourism records this year.

From these projections, the luxury hotel brand Hyatt will be opening a new all-inclusive resort as soon as next month, looking to cement its rapidly growing name in the trendy, bohemian hotspot of Tulum.

The new Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club is set to open its doors wide to visitors on October 12, 2023, just in time for the winter high season in the Mexican Caribbean, an extremely lucrative time for business in the tourism sector.
All-inclusive hotels are quickly becoming a favorite choice among tourists, especially from the U.S., due to their convenience, safety, and everything that is on offer in the price of their bookings.
Hyatt and Hilton are two hotel brands responding quickly to this popularity surge, attempting everything they can to innovate and create new experiences for their guests, with Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club being no exception.
According to their website, the hotel’s design is “boho elegant” with earthy décor, extravagant cenote-inspired architecture, dedicated meditation areas, and secluded pools surrounded by lush vegetation.”
The hotel offers 300 suites and one luxury villa, which will all be situated in the lush mangroves of Tulum and will have the backdrop of the infamous Mexican Caribbean coastline to complete the picture postcard aesthetic.

Hyatt also confirms that the resort will be part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program, another huge draw for its guests.
With Tulum experiencing a rise in its crime rates at the start of this year, local authorities acted swiftly by increasing security patrols and CCTV in its busy tourist areas to stop it from rising exponentially.
Even though it has been reported that these rates have dropped significantly, the popularity of all-inclusive hotels continues to appeal to an audience of people who may still be perturbed by the headlines.
These luxury hotels generally have around-the-clock security and surveillance and are situated in popular, high-visibility areas, meaning that tourists are given complete peace of mind when staying in them.
With so much on offer like the above-mentioned 15 dining options at the Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club, as well are private beach clubs, kids clubs and the like, visitors truly do not need to venture out too far from their resort.
This in turn is having somewhat of a negative impact on smaller businesses in the area, such as smaller hotels and restaurants, as many tourists have no reason to leave their resort, resulting in lost business for the local communities.
