After nearly 20 long months of having different levels of restrictions, Cancun was finally deemed to being back to a ‘low risk Covid-19 transmission zone’ and brought back to a green light on the epidemiological traffic light system as of October 11th 2021.
Now that the green light is a go – many new flight availabilities are flooding in. Here are 4 international flights to Cancun that are either new or have been very missed.
Moscow to Cancun
Starting November 20th 2021, Aeroflot will have flights flying from Moscow to Cancun what appears to be three times per week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. These new flights could potentially bring upwards of 100,000 Russian tourists to the beautiful Mexican Caribbean each year, now that travel is re-opened.
Cancun’s honorary consul of Russia, Armina Wolper stated in a recent interview that the need for these flights are to meet customer demands.
Daily TAG airline flight from Flores, Guatemala
TAG airlines has recently announced an exciting regiment of daily flights arriving to Flores, Guatemala from Cancun and back – all thanks to cooperation of both countries and an on going friendship. Julio Gamero, The CEO of the Guatemalan flag airlines is very enthusiastic that these flights are finally launched after many months of waiting and preparing, the further boost in tourism and economy is long over-due.
These daily flights will depart Cancun at 6:40am and arrive in Flores at 8:40am with a return flight leaving Flores at 5:50pm, landing in Cancun at 7:40pm.
London, UK with British Airways
Starting October 22nd 2021, British Airways is finally resuming daily flights from London, United Kingdom to Cancun. After months of Mexico being on the “red list” for tourism due to Covid-19, the pristine Mexican Caribbean beaches are going to be happy to welcome everyone back from the UK.

Vienna to Cancun
Believe it or not, There hasn’t been a flight land in Cancun from Vienna since 2006 – That’s 15 years ago. Starting in mid-November all thanks to Austrian Airlines , that’s all going to change with these two weekly flights coming from Vienna.
Travelers can expect to board a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft that holds just over 300 passengers, 40 of which are in business class (a great treat for such a long trek!)
