RIU, one of the most established hospitality firms operating in the Mexican Caribbean, is opening a new 550-room hotel in Costa Mujeres this October. Riu Latino Costa Mujeres is the chain’s newest adults-only property, complete with luxurious amenities, all-inclusive services, and stunning tropical surroundings.

Set to open in late October, the new adults-only property will further enhance Riu’s inventory in the region, as the company already operates several award-winning establishments in the Mexican Caribbean. The new resort boasts a selection of fine dining restaurants, in addition to top-notch entertainment options as well as a unique focus on health and fitness. All of the hotel’s amenities are part of Riu’s comprehensive all-inclusive package, which ensures that guests find everything they need during their stay.

Riu Latino Costa Mujeres has a total of 550 upscale, modern, and spacious rooms. Designed with comfort and luxury in mind, the hotel’s rooms feature refreshing and modern interiors. The hotel’s excellent location on a privileged stretch of beach in Costa Mujeres means that guests are never too far from the area’s top attractions, whether it be its stunning beaches or downtown area. Costa Mujeres is just 16 kilometers from Cancun, the region’s main tourist hotspot, from where guests can easily reach other popular destinations like Tulum or Playa del Carmen.

The 38m2 Double Room is perfect for couples, who can choose from several different views. Meanwhile, the more lavish Swim Out Double Room comes with a private terrace pool in addition to other amenities. Prices in November for a 2-person 5-night stay start at $1260 all the way to $1700.

There’s plenty of all-inclusive fun at Riu Latino Costa Mujeres. The adults-only resort takes advantage of its beautiful oceanfront location, offering guests aquatic activities such as kayaking, catamaran rides, and snorkeling. Guests opting to stay on land can enjoy Splash Water World, the resort’s adult-only waterpark. For a more intimate and relaxing experience, visitors can head to the Renova Spa, where they’ll find an excellent choice of pampering treatments.

Guests won’t go hungry at the new Riu Latino Costa Mujeres, thanks to RIU’s all-inclusive package, which includes all meals and snacks. The resort offers local and international flavors, with both Asian and Western (steakhouse and Italian) dining. Meanwhile, the resort’s buffet-style dinner restaurant serves themed buffets three times per week to ensure there’s always something new for hungry guests.

Riu’s new resort is just one of many to open in the Mexican Caribbean in recent months. The region is continuing to grow in popularity and is expected to reach a new record for international travel this year. Its unique mix of tropical beaches, a rich historical and cultural legacy, as well as some of the top resorts worldwide, all translate to strong demand for new accommodations.

“For Riu, as far as international destinations are concerned, Mexico has the best prospects for growth. We will continue to expand, both qualitatively and in terms of new hotels” according to Joan Trian Riu, a RIU executive.

Aside from Riu, other global hospitality firms, including the famed luxury hotel brand AMR have announced new openings. The company is launching 3 new hotels in Cozumel, Riviera Maya, and Isla Mujeres this year, and the properties focus on utmost luxury and privacy. The Mexican Caribbean accounts for 75% of all new hotel rooms in the country.
