Cancun is known globally for its sparkling blue ocean, white sandy beaches and masses of traditional Mexican artefacts. Yet, in recent years, it has also become host to some of the hottest restaurants in North America. Whether you’re looking to try traditional Mexican cuisine or have a flair for international fare, it seems as though options to eat out in the bustling city are endless.

Family Dining Cancun

But this often presents an issue when vacationing with family: all too often, little ones want to eat foods they are used to, leading their parents to settle for fast food chains or tourist-trap restaurants. But who said that you couldn’t feed your children in Cancun and experience some of the best traditional food the city has to offer?

We’ve explored three of the best child-friendly restaurants in Cancun so that you can enjoy a delicious meal and keep your children happy.

La Vicenta Restaurante

As a favourite spot for watching sports with casual drinks, La Vicenta doesn’t seem to be suitable for children at first. However, this town favourite is packed with activities to keep the whole family entertained, at their ‘Chentitos’ Kids Club. This special zone in the restaurant is catered to children aged between 2 and 11, with trained staff on hand to supervise all activities. Kids can take part in arts and crafts and sports games whilst adults eat some of the finest grilled meats in the city.
