Xcaret Tours Cancun

Xcaret is a company that offers experiences to some of the biggest tourist attractions in the Riviera Maya, including the notorious Xcaret Park. What they built in Xcaret Park is an all-in-one experience of the elements that make up the Riviera Maya, from the food to the natural escapes and the live performances. The company, simply called Xcaret, also runs a number of tours, hotels, and theme parks in the Riviera Maya.

Xcaret Park is arguably the most popular attraction that’s run by Xcaret. It’s family-friendly and filled with experiences to keep everyone entertained for days. This 200-acre theme park has over 50 attractions in total, and here’s a sample of what you’ll find at the park:

  • Ride along the Paradise River
  • Main Plaza
  • Children’s World
  • Underground Rivers
  • “Vino de Mexico Xcaret” Wine Cellar
  • Mayan archeological relics
  • Mexico Espectacular Live Evening Performance
  • Over 5 restaurant options to choose between international, Mexican, and buffet-style dining

You can buy tickets online to save money for the park entrance fee. Xcaret offers activities like the swimming with dolphins experience.

Chichén Itzá

Traveling to a destination such as Cancun means that you have all the amazing attractions and experiences of the Yucatan peninsula just a short drive or a half-day trip away. The biggest archeological attraction in the region by far is Chichén Itzá, and it’s a popular thing to do for tourists in Cancun. You can book a tour here from a licensed agency in Cancun that includes transportation there and back, entrance fee to the site, lunch, a local guide, and sometimes a stop in nearby Valladolid as well as a cenote. You can book tours with more food and experiences if you’d like, as there are so many different options available.

Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres is a thin islet just off the coast of Cancun, and it’s a popular day trip for those traveling in the Riviera Maya. From Cancun, you can hire a catamaran with a licensed driver, and you can adventure around to do things like snorkeling, as well as enjoy food and drink on the boat, depending on your tour package. The island has beautiful beaches and is much calmer than Cancun, and it’s worthwhile to visit for an overnight trip or longer if you have the extra time.

Swimming With Dolphins In Cancun

For a tropical destination like Cancun, it’s still not uncommon for tourists to book a tour where they can see or even engage with the local wildlife. That being said, one of the most popular tours that travelers book while in Cancun is the experience of swimming with dolphins. There are handfuls of tour agencies based in the Riviera Maya that offer up close and personal encounters with dolphins, including Delphinus Riviera Maya and Delphinus Xcaret.

Swimming with the dolphins in Cancun is a scam, no matter where you go to see the dolphins, the tour people on site won’t let you bring your own water proof camera so they can charge you hundreds of dollars for a few pictures and maybe, maybe a very short video and on top of that it’s one of the most expensive tours in Cancun, I’ll say it again it’s a scam, there other countries or islands where you can do the same and take your own pictures and videos for half or less the price in Cancun.
