Offering stunning scenery and some of the best safety in Mexico, Cancun and Isla Mujeres are among the trendiest Caribbean destinations this year, with travel numbers expected to soar to new highs later in summer and winter.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the newest Cancun and Isla Mujeres resorts for 2024:
Stunning 5-Star Resorts To Provide Travelers Ultimate Luxury Experience In Cancun And Isla Mujeres
The Mexican Caribbean is gearing up for its busiest year ever on record thanks to the new Maya Train and several new International aerial connections.
For Cancun and Isla Mujeres – two of the most popular sun-soaked destinations in the region – this translates to unprecedented demand for luxury accommodations.
Fortunately, the opening of up to 4000 new hotel rooms in the popular destinations means that travelers will have a greater choice of luxury accommodations to choose from, ensuring enough availability for sun-seeking visitors.
A new report published by Quintana Roo’s Tourism Promotion Council shows that Cancun and Isla Mujeres will see the most new resort openings in the Mexican Caribbean.
Offering unparalleled safety, amazing white-sand beaches, and endless cultural adventures, these two classic destinations are set to become greater than ever this year.
AVA Resort Cancun – 1700 Rooms
Among the most anticipated hotel openings is the brand-new AVA Resort Cancun.
Slated for opening in June 2024, this 1700-room 5-star all-inclusive aims to redefine the resort experience, offering an innovative and modern design coupled with new amenities, including a 2.8-acre lagoon.
Boasting ocean views, travelers can expect a sleek and contemporary look across the new upscale resort.
But AVA offers much more than just rooms; with 17 bars and restaurants, a massive 20,000 square foot spa area, and a huge outdoor lagoon featuring natural saltwater.
SHA Wellness Clinic – 101 Rooms
With wellness travel soaring in popularity in 2024, Cancun is uniquely poised to deliver travelers much-needed rest & rejuvenation.
And Costa Mujeres’ new SHA Wellness Clinic does just that; with its focus on state-of-the-art wellness treatments and high-end design, the 5-star property is the first of its kind in the region.
And at a cost of over $150 million, the upscale resort will boast a number of cutting-edge programs aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing.
Guests can look forward to choosing from a range of room types, each offering ocean views, as well as a handful of health-focused dining options.
Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres – 507 Rooms
One of the most exciting additions to Cancun’s resort inventory is the launching to the new adults-only Secrets Playa Blanca in Costa Mujeres.
Slated for opening this June, this 507-room resort is Hyatt’s latest expansion to the highly sought-after Costa Mujeres area, known for its quiet white-sand beaches and exclusive resorts.
The high-end property will focus on providing guests with unique outdoor experiences, be in in the resort’s multiple on-site pools or exploring the quaint beauty of the nearby islands of Isla Mujeres and Isla County.
With a focus on local art & design, this lavish property immerses guests in authentic culture, providing luxurious suites, amenities, and unlimited all-inclusive services.
