Following the release of the World Travel Award winners, it was highlighted that an adventure park in Cancun was voted the best in Mexico, after receiving the award for Mexico’s Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction in 2022. Extreme Adventuring Cancun even beat the very popular Xcaret in this category, which did win an award for Mexico’s Leading Adventure Tour Operator in 2022. So what is it that makes this extreme adventure attraction so popular?
There are many adventures to be had at the Extreme Adventuring ecological park, which has continued to grow and add more activities over the last 15 years. These adventures are offered on a single adventure basis but there are also packages available as well. Five adventures, in particular, are popular among the many tourists who visit Cancun, though, and we’ll list them for you here.
ATV Adventure
What better way to see the Mayan jungle that is only steps away from Cancun than riding an ATV through the dense terrain to reach a magical destination where the adventure really begins? Upon arrival explore the jungle by zipline, with six different options available, and then cool off in a freshwater cenote. ATVs can be booked for a single rider for $99, or a double, priced at $79 each.
Horseback Riding Adventure
For an even more unique way to tour the flourishing Mayan jungle visitors can travel to the same area by horseback. The adventure includes about 30 minutes of horseback riding time each way and upon arrival, tour takers can spend some time enjoying the ziplines and cenote before heading back. The horseback riding adventure costs $139 for a single and $119 for those that share.
Snorkeling Adventure
One of the most popular activities among Cancun tourists is snorkeling and Extreme Adventuring offers a snorkeling experience as well. Those that choose this adventure will have the opportunity to explore the 2nd largest great barrier reef in the world, located 15 minutes from Cancun in Puerto Morelos. Snorkeling lasts about an hour and is followed by a snack at a beachside restaurant and some time to explore the town, all for the low price of $59.
Cenote Adventure
The cenote adventure goes beyond just being able to take a dip in a freshwater cenote, with the opportunity to snorkel, cliff jump, and paddleboard in two different cenotes too. Tourists who book this adventure will also be able to participate in the ziplining as well. The Mayan jungle cenote adventure costs only $69 and includes a tequila tasting when it’s all over.
Ziplining Adventure
Ziplining is included with most of the other adventures you can purchase through Extreme Adventuring Cancun. The zipline course includes three interactive bridges in addition to the six different ziplines. To get the best of Ziplining and some of the other activities visitors can purchase the super combo for $139 for one person or $129 for a shared experience.
All Extreme Adventuring adventures include transportation from your hotel. Additionally, most of them include a snack of traditional pork tacos following the activities. With so much to offer for such great prices, it’s no wonder that Extreme Adventuring Cancun was named the Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction in Mexico in 2022.
