As Cancun continues to grow in popularity and more and more tourists visit the Mexican Caribbean vacation destination more accommodations are needed to keep up with tourist demand.

For this reason, new hotels are being constructed, and old hotels are getting updates to better serve the growing number of tourists.

The popular Now Emerald Cancun is one of these hotels.  It will be closing in the near future before reopening as a major luxury all-inclusive.

Hope it will be 5* and not be like Grand Riviera Princess where we have just spent 2 weeks with no Aircon in the 8 a la carte restaurants or the 4 buffet restaurants. Plastic beaker cups in lobby bar and swimwear, grunge shorts and vest tops along with flip flops acceptable dress code for all restaurants for dinner. We were advised by management they met the criteria in Mexico for 5*. You should do an article on what constitutes 5* in Mexico as our holiday was extremely disappointing and we spent meal times soaked in sweat!
