There is no shortage of popular vacation destinations in Mexico, but none are quite as popular as Cancun.
In fact, a new report shows that over 46 percent of the more than 14 million foreign tourists who visited Mexico between January and August, went to Cancun.

One of the reasons Cancun gets so many visitors is that there is great connectivity from a number of international destinations to Cancun Airport.
The U.S. and Canada, in particular, are directly connected to Cancun from more than 60 cities between them.
American travelers can currently fly to Cancun from 41 different U.S. cities and Canadian tourists from 21.
