Summer may not be the busiest season in Cancun but that doesn’t mean it isn’t busy at all during the summer months.
In fact, tourism officials are predicting that hotels and resorts in Cancun could reach occupancy rates as high as 90 percent this summer.
And despite the fact that the summer season hasn’t even begun yet, occupancy rates are already at around 70 percent, indicating that a busy season is ahead.

The summer season really starts to kick in high gear by the end of July.
Tourism officials are expecting tourism numbers to start picking up as early as next month, though.

High occupancy, according to tourism officials, is expected to last until well into the month of August. During this time, travelers from all over the world will vacation in and around Cancun.
This is only a few months before the really busy seasons, winter and spring, get underway.
