The Proof Is In The Numbers

Last year Cancun Airport served more than 30 million passengers.

The overwhelming majority of these travelers that arrive at the airport are there to visit Cancun, but many leave Cancun for other Riviera Maya destinations as well.

Pleasant Tropical Weather

Cancun and the Riviera Maya’s tropical climate can be enjoyed almost anytime throughout the year.

Average temperatures range from about 82F in January, the coldest month, to around 91F in August, which is the hottest month.

Although there is a rainy season that might make some activities inaccessible from time to time, from May to September, there really is no bad time to visit if the tropical climate is what you’re looking for.

Endless Things To Do

One of the biggest reasons for Cancun and the Riviera Maya being the most popular destinations in the Caribbean is the endless things there are to do.

While largely considered tropical beach getaway destinations, there are so many other things to experience in the region.

Ancient Mayan ruins in nearly every city, hundreds of beautiful natural swimming holes called cenotes, exciting adventure parks in the jungle, and so much more give visitors plenty to explore.

Amazing White Sand Beaches

Of course, while there is plenty to do, a Cancun or Riviera Maya vacation won’t be complete without spending at least a little time on the beach.

There are so many to choose from, so no matter what kind of beach experience you’re looking for, you’ll find it somewhere in the region.

Quiet secluded beaches, beaches with beach clubs, busy beaches filled with tourists, beaches with cabana rentals, and more offer unique experiences for your beach vacation.

Cancun Airport is one of the most connected international airports to U.S. cities.

Direct flights are available from around 40 different airports in the U.S., with multiple flights from many of them available every week, and flights from some of these cities are fairly inexpensive.

This makes it easy to visit Cancun and the Riviera Maya any time of the year and for as many or a few days as you want to.
