Cancun is one of Mexico’s most tourist welcoming and attraction filled cities. Here are seven of the top attractions tourists can visit when in Cancun.
Xel-Ha
This spacious aquatic theme park contains lagoons and underwater caves available for activities like swimming and snorkeling. The theme park also offers other land and water activities such as swimming with dolphins, kayaking, crossing the Floating Bridge or diving off the Cliffs of Courage. Trepachanga is meant for more adventurous visitors, where they can cross the rope-joined platforms and avoid falling into the water below. The park’s admission fees go towards expanding and funding the site. Tourists can use a jungle train, or personal bikes to travel around the area.
Chichen Itza
Use the whole day to fully explore these beautiful ancient ruins. Chichen Itza is the most important archaeological zone of the Yucatan and ancient capital of the Mayan Empire, the site attracts visitors from all throughout Mexico. Chichen Itza’s architectural beauty and interesting history will make your visit one to remember.
Playa Norte (North Beach)
This gorgeous beach is located on the small island, Isla Mujeres. The beach features a beautiful setting through its many palm trees and white sand beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are scattered around the area and available for rental. The beach’s deep waters attract experienced swimmers and snorkelers to paddle around and see the underwater sea life. Shops are also on site, where snorkeling gear and kayaks can be rented. Tourists can also find bars and restaurants on the site and enjoy a tropical drink or some fresh seafood.
Xoximilco Cancun
Translating to “field of flowers,” Xoximilco is one of Cancun’s stunning attractions that delivers beauty through the floating gardens and canals of Mexico. Witness traditions like floating flower-strung boats and live music being performed while eating some of the best food in Cancun.
