Xel-Ha

This spacious aquatic theme park contains lagoons and underwater caves available for activities like swimming and snorkeling. The theme park also offers other land and water activities such as swimming with dolphins, kayaking, crossing the Floating Bridge or diving off the Cliffs of Courage. Trepachanga is meant for more adventurous visitors, where they can cross the rope-joined platforms and avoid falling into the water below. The park’s admission fees go towards expanding and funding the site. Tourists can use a jungle train, or personal bikes to travel around the area.

Playa Norte (North Beach)

This gorgeous beach is located on the small island, Isla Mujeres. The beach features a beautiful setting through its many palm trees and white sand beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are scattered around the area and available for rental. The beach’s deep waters attract experienced swimmers and snorkelers to paddle around and see the underwater sea life. Shops are also on site, where snorkeling gear and kayaks can be rented. Tourists can also find bars and restaurants on the site and enjoy a tropical drink or some fresh seafood.

Cenotes Sac Actun is the world’s largest underwater cave system and is home to many colorful fish. The cenote is also one of the less crowded ones in the city.
