Grupo Xcaret Announces New Hotel In Riviera Maya

Mexican hospitality company Grupo Xcaret have just announced the construction of a new hotel, set to open in 2025. With three hotels already operating throughout the state of Quintana Roo, this fourth hotel will be built along the coast of the Riviera Maya, adding over 1,800 new suites for guests to relax in.

Xcaret made the decision to build their new hotel in the Riviera Maya as it is one of the most visually-stunning areas in Quintana Roo. This beautiful area encompasses many towns, from Puerto Morelos to Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Tulum. As many luxury hotels and resorts are concentrated in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, building a new hotel along the Riviera Maya allows guests to discover the beauty of the Mexican-Caribbean coastline, without being overwhelmed by other tourists.

Whilst no official announcement been made on what the hotel will look like, it is thought that the interior and exterior will match Xcaret’s three other luxury hotels: all display works of traditional Mexican art with a modern twist, as well as possessing multiple state-of-the-art facilities for guests to enjoy whilst on vacation.

The first hotel the travel giant opened was the Hotel Xcaret Mexico, in 2017. The all-inclusive family favourite has a range of rooms suitable for every guest, including junior suites and swim-up bedrooms, priced at USD $500 per night.

Xcaret then opened Hotel Xcaret Arte last year, with 900 suites designed around Mexican artwork, music and wellness. With an average price of $650 per night, this hotel offers guests a truly artisanal Mexican-Caribbean vacation.

Later that year, the exclusive La Casa De La Playa resort was inaugurated, with 63 individuals suites offering the utmost privacy and luxury for its clientele. Priced at $1,500 a night, this stunning hotel offers travellers experiences they would not have elsewhere, such as private dinners next to a cenote.

One thing is for certain – no matter what the new hotel will look like, it will aim to follow in the footsteps of its sister resorts: Both the Hotel Xcaret Arte and La Casa De La Playa aim to ‘balance the financial, social and natural aspects with business and the environment’, offering guests a luxurious stay whilst helping to conserve the precious ecosystem the hotel is built on.

Major travel magazine Travel and Leisure even named Hotel Xcaret as the 17th best hotel in the whole of Mexico, due to their commitment to adventure, luxury, and superb food.

Grupo Xcaret also has 8 parks and 5 tours in operation, alongside its three hotels: these excursions offer guests a taste of everything, from zip-lining over the jungle, to sailing expeditions, cenote tours and much more.

Despite only having 5 years of experience in the hotel industry, a new hotel is not the only venture that Grupo Xcaret are expected to take this year. The executive director of Xcaret Hotels, Franciso Gutierrez, has stated that the hospitality giants have ambitions to open 5 more hotels throughout the state, most likely around the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen and Cancun.

Gutierrez has also stated that the company ‘is not only growing hotels – we are going to grow parks’. The expansion of the popular Xcaret parks throughout the region shows how devoted the company is to their adventurous clientele, whilst also being eco-conscious and looking after the natural environment. It is thought that one of these new adventure parks will be located on the same site as the next Xcaret hotel.

The exact design and location of the hotel will be revealed to the public soon, but guests excited about the new build are encouraged to visit Xcaret’s website to keep up to date on its progress.
