The hotel and resort options to choose from in Cancun seem to be growing on a monthly basis, with numerous new properties opened over the last several years.
This growth is expected to continue for the foreseeable future, and one popular brand is taking advantage of the momentum by launching a new hotel project in the vacation destination.
The major luxury hotel brand Hyatt Hotels just announced a new Cancun property in partnership with Park Hospitality Holdings.
The Introduction Of Park Hyatt
The new hotel that the Hyatt brand has announced for Cancun will be a Park Hyatt Hotel.
It will be the debut of the new brand in Cancun that is a collaboration of two powerhouses in the hotel industry, Hyatt and Park Hospitality Holdings.
Currently, there are no Park Hyatt properties in Mexico, but two more have been announced: the Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol and the Park Hyatt Mexico City.

The Park Hyatt Cancun
Very few details have been shared about the new Park Hyatt Cancun, but it will be a beachfront hotel.
Hyatt also announced that the hotel will have “immersive and rare culinary experiences, bars, and lounges.”
The hotel will also feature large meeting and ballroom spaces for events.

Hyatt is one of the top hotel brands in the world.
The Hyatt brand consists of four well-known collections, including the Boundless Collection, the Inclusive Collection, the Independent Collection, and the Timeless Collection.
Park Hyatt, along with seven other brands, are part of the Timeless Collection.

The Timeline For Cancun’s New Park Hyatt Hotel
As of right now, there are limited details about the planned Park Hyatt Cancun, including a specific location for the hotel.
A specific date for completion of the property has also not been announced yet, but in the announcement about the new hotel, 2025 was given as an estimated opening date range.
While that could very likely change, we’ll have to wait for more information from Hyatt for a more specific date and more details about the hotel.
