International hospitality giant Marriott has announced an ambitious plan to build three new luxury resorts in the Mexican Caribbean by 2026. The new properties would add a significant number of rooms to the area’s already growing inventory, and boost the availability of luxury accommodations available to travelers. According to executives, the new resorts will be all-inclusive, and two of them will be adults-only.

Marriott is the latest hospitality company to announce new Mexican Caribbean properties and has already revealed the names of the new resorts as well as their main selling points. The new plan will see the construction of three massive resorts in Isla Mujeres and Costa Mujeres, some of the most popular destinations in the Mexican Caribbean.

According to a recent press statement, the new resorts will be called Almare, a Luxury Collection All-Inclusive Resort, slated for opening sometime in 2024 in Isla Mujeres; JW Marriot All-Inclusive – in Costa Mujeres -, and W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres, with the latter and former expected to open in 2026.

Although the new resorts are still in the design phase, Marriott executives are setting the bar high, and each detail is being carefully planned to meet travelers’ expectations. “Working with one of the most reputable hospitality firms is exactly AB Living’s vision,” said Alejandro Bataller, the company’s vice president. Together with Marriott, the two firms hope to shake up the Mexican Caribbean luxury hotel market and deliver ever-greater levels of comfort to discerning travelers.

Area for relaxing in the Caribbean Sea

With plenty of new luxury hotels and resorts opening in Cancun, Isla Mujeres, and the Riviera Maya over the following months, new properties are increasingly seeking to create new and refined experiences for guests. To stand out amongst the crowd, Marriott will invest heavily in unique culinary experiences as well as a highly personalized service philosophy that considers guests’ needs.

JW Marriott All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres

Marriott’s JW All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres will have 283 spacious and elegantly designed rooms that will invite travelers to unwind in tropical surroundings. The resort will also feature 6 restaurants, and several luxurious amenities including pools, conference halls, and more than 50 residential units meant for long-term stays.

The resort’s beachfront location in Costa Mujeres will offer visitors some of the best panoramic views of the tropical sea, and the property’s lush surroundings are meant to induce a feeling of relaxation.

The new W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres will be an adults-only property with some 300 rooms and will feature several large indoor and outdoor facilities. Travelers will find five internationally-themed restaurants across the new property, as well as bars and lounges, and a massive entertainment area.
