The Mexican Caribbean is by no means lacking in the resort department, with hundreds of options to choose from throughout the region.
There are resorts in the numerous vacation destinations along the coast to fit any budget or taste, and some are better than others, even award-winning.
Some of these Mexican Caribbean resorts are even considered the best in Mexico, according to a new report from Conde Nast.
Mexican Caribbean Destinations With Award Winners
Hotels in two different Mexican Caribbean cities made it to the list of the top 10 hotels in Mexico.
Two hotels in Tulum, Hotel Bardo and Nomade, made the list, coming in at numbers 4 and 7, respectively.
The other hotel that made the list is also located in the Riviera Maya región, in Playa del Carmen, and made it to number 5 on the list.

Hotel Bardo – Tulum
Hotel Bardo is set on a tranquil piece of land surrounded by lush jungle and is a hideaway far from the bustling parts of the tourist destination.
Accommodations come in the form of villas with a private jungle garden and a pool and are over 600 square feet.

La Casa de la Playa – Riviera Maya – Playa Del Carmen
La Casa de la Playa is a fairly new boutique hotel located in Playa del Carmen that sits between the Caribbean Sea and the Maya jungle.
It features 63 nature-inspired suites spread out between three different buildings, each with a different theme.

Cancun International Airport services millions of passengers every year, not only because Cancun is the most popular destination in the Mexican Caribbean but because there are so many other destinations too.
Currently, it is the main hub for visitors traveling to any of these destinations, with massive international connectivity, particularly from the U.S.
But come December, when the Maya Train is completed, travel in the Mexican Caribbean will forever be changed, and getting to these places will be even easier.
