@xploremoreworld After a visit to the Tulum Archeological Zone Mayan Ruins, we headed to Casa Tortuga for cenotes and zip-lining! Since the Mayan Ruins are only a 10 minute ride, this is the perfect addition for a day trip to the area. #casatortuga #tulum #QuintanaRoo #mexicotravel #xploremoreworld #traveltiktok #fyp ♬ original sound – XploreMoreWorld

As Tulum continues to grow in popularity, here’s the latest on the city’s new Jaguar Park and what it means for travelers.

Tulum’s Jaguar Park To Captivate Travelers Starting This April

In 2024, historical and cultural travel will see a major revival with the full inauguration of the Maya Train. The 1,500-kilometre-long railway system will connect Cancun with all the major historical hotspots in the Mexican Caribbean and beyond.

Tulum, presently only reached by car or plane, is set to benefit majorly from the state-of-art infrastructure project, which will flood the city with thousands of travelers daily.

To accommodate the upcoming travel frenzy, authorities in the coastal destination are currently finishing the final stages of Tulum’s new Jaguar Park.

The massive park, which measures over a thousand hectares in size, was announced in conjunction with the Maya Train.

The protected area is part of a wider effort to preserve Tulum’s unique cultural and historical value and contains numerous smaller Mayan ruins & artifacts in addition to amazing natural beauty.

@kevinkmarkwell Incredible Day trip to the Cobá archaeological zone in Mexico. It was just 45 minutes outside of Tulum. Very easy to get to with a rental car or tour bus. I recommend against taking a taxi as calling a ride home might be tough. 🚙 Climbing on top of the ruins was definitely a highlight. Biking through the jungle with the trees shading the way made it all worth it. 🚲🌴 Afterwards you can check out the restaurant and get some real authentic Mexican food. We got the fajitas and guacamole 🥑 Make sure to bring pesos as they do not accept USD or Credit Card. I broke down the total cost below: Parking: 60 MX Entry: 100 MX / Ticket Bike: 65 MX / Bike Lunch for 2: 650 MX #Coba #mayanruins #tulumruins #tulummexico #digitalnomad #remotework ♬ original sound – Kevin Markwell

In addition to providing a major boost to Tulum’s already extensive repertoire of attractions, the new Jaguar Park will feature plenty of amenities catering to arriving visitors. Among other facilities, it’ll boast a new Mayan Museum and hiking trails, making it an excellent alternative to the vastly popular Tulum Archeological Zone.

Jaguar Park will have a direct link to Tulum’s Maya Train station, allowing travelers to reach the massive park conveniently. Upon arrival, visitors can opt for everything from cultural immersion to wondering about the location’s verdant nature.

@xploremoreworld If you’re into history, a visit to the Tulum Archeological Zone to see the Mayan Ruins is a must! Even if history isn’t your thing, you still can’t miss the beautiful ruins and views. You can book tours if you’d like to have a guide but you are able to visit o your own. Each ticket is 85 pesos. #tulum #tulummexico #playadelcarmen #mexicotravel #traveltiktok #fyp ♬ original sound – XploreMoreWorld

Travelers will also have direct access to a nearby beach, making Jaguar Park an excellent way to enjoy Tulum’s beautiful white-sand coast. The park will also be accessible for cars and busses, providing several options for arriving visitors.

In addition to the Maya Train, the city recently inaugurated the brand-new Felipe Carrillo International Airport, which already operates a growing number of domestic flights.

In March, the new airport will begin welcoming international flights from the United States, with American Airlines, United, and Delta all announcing nonstop flights to the sunny location.

@sammiller.life It's not just an airport. 🇲🇽 There's a bigger plan in action by Mexico. They are building a network of major projects that is plugging in the south east of Mexico into the global economy. This is big. REALLY big. Industrial parks are being built, ports are being expanded, railways systems are being connected, country wide conveyer belts are being created. Today the new Tulum International Airport gets inaugurated, a giant piece of the puzzle that is the new Mexico. #tulumrealestate #tulummexico #Yucatan #mexico #vivamexico #tulumairport ♬ original sound – Sam Miller

Meanwhile, officials are finalizing renovations to Tulum’s Archeological Zone ahead of the launching of the Maya Train.

Travelers will soon be able to access two new temples that have thus far remained off-limits for the public. Visitors will also be able to benefit from new trails and facilities within the popular ruins.
