A brand new massive all-inclusive resort is coming to Cancun’s hotel zone in late 2023. The new upscale resort will be called AVA Resort Cancun and will offer travelers luxurious amenities in addition to several novelties that will help the new brand to stand out among the competition.
The new resort comes at a time when travel numbers are skyrocketing as Cancun and the Mexcian Caribbean gear up for a record-breaking year for international travel.
AVA Resort Cancun – RCD Hotel’s Newest Cancun Undertaking
RCD, one of the largest hospitality players in the Mexican Caribbean, recently announced that work is well underway to build a new resort in Cancun’s popular resort zone. Most of the resort’s 1,700-room resort will come with ocean views and will take advantage of the area’s stunning white-sand beaches. According to the latest estimates, AVA Cancun is slated to open sometime in late 2023.
The five-star resort will also come packed with high-end amenities that perfectly complement AVA’s modern and beautifully appointed rooms. In addition to the property’s spacious and elegantly designed suites, which come in several categories, the massive complex will also house a number of outdoor facilities where guests can relax and unwind.
One of the most notable features of the ongoing development is the enormous man-made lagoon, which uses high-tech features and has been designed with sustainability in mind. Guests can also enjoy four unique pool areas as well as a pampering spa for rejuvenating facial treatments and soothing massages. Although there are plenty of on-site pools, travelers can also enjoy privileged access to the resort’s adjacent beach, where sun, sea, and white sands await guests.

Despite multiple new resorts opening their doors to guests this year, hotel occupancy rates remain well above 80% in most of Cancun and other resort hotspots like Playa del Carmen and Isla Mujeres.
While most new resorts are being built in Cancun’s packed hotel zone, new developments are also appearing in Isla Mujeres, Costa Mujeres, and Puerto Morelos.
