The leading hospitality and entertainment group is launching a brand-new ferry route from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel amid growing travel demand.

The decision to set up the new ferry link comes as travel to both Playa del Carmen and Cozumel surge in 2024. The former is home to several Xcaret properties, including the massive Hotel Xcaret Mexico.
Meanwhile, Cozumel, a stunning island just 12 miles off the mainland, has also seen its popularity skyrocket thanks to its excellent array of untouched beaches, ancient Mayan sites, and a growing variety of luxurious accommodations.

According to local media sources, Xcaret aims to deploy two massive ferries, each capable of carrying up to 650 passengers.
Although no official timeline has been given for the launching of the new ferry connection, travelers can expect to benefit from the new service within the next few months.
Xcaret, one of the leading hospitality firms operating in the region, is working closely with maritime officials to obtain the necessary operational licenses to begin selling tickets.
