The new approach to all-inclusive luxury entertainment is part of a wider move by the hospitality firm to stand out among growing competition.

Here’s the latest on Meliá’s new Destination Inclusive package:

The hotel brand recently announced radical changes to its all-inclusive packages, which will begin to feature a greater focus on local culture and unique experiences for guests to enjoy.

The re-branded all-inclusive package is called Destination Inclusive and, as its name indicates, is focused on providing guests with memorable touches of local design, culture, and gastronomy.

According to Susanna Mander, Meliá’s head of global marketing, each Paradisus location offers guests a unique stay based on the culture and nature that can be found across the property.

“At Paradisus by Meliá, the destination plays a central role in creating an unforgettable travel experience,” the executive said in a statement.

For now, the tailor-made activity packages are only included in the Nikté and The Reserve bookings, which offer some of the most elevated levels of luxury and comfort in any resort.

The adults-only The Reserve bookings grant access to exclusive resort areas and services catered to the needs of couples and solo travelers. Meanwhile, the recently-launched Nikté – a new premium booking category – includes a range of personalized services, including a private concierge and VIP dinner bookings.

Meliá operates several top-rated all-inclusive luxury properties in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, including Paradisus Cancun, Paradisus La Perla, and Paradisus Playa del Carmen.

Destination Inclusive provides guests the opportunity to experience a range of programs and activities, with each experience being carefully curated by local experts to fully immerse travelers in the culture and natural beauty that surround each property.

This spring, travelers staying at one of the brand’s Cancun and Riviera Maya resorts can look forward to several activities, including a private guided visit to a nearby cenote.

Guests are accompanied by a local shaman and are provided a relaxing meditation and yoga session surrounded by the natural wonders of the Mexican Caribbean.

The Mexican Caribbean is the perfect location to experience an explosion of culture and art thanks to the region’s centuries-long history and Mayan influence, not to mention the stunning beauty of its natural landscapes.

However, the activities on offer are subject to change throughout the year based on the season.

Foodie experiences, for example, will vary largely based on seasonal ingredients, whereas cultural experiences will change depending on festivities and celebrations.

With travel numbers soaring, travelers can find a record number of quality establishments across the Mexican Caribbean.

A growing number of visitors are interested in experiencing elements of local culture, prompting many resorts to add authentic Mexican offerings for travelers to enjoy.

Meliá is just one of many resort brands that have recently revamped its on-site experience packages. Xcaret, one of Mexico’s leading hospitality firms, recently announced that it would launch a massive upgrade of its Playa del Carmen property to highlight its unique Mayan roots.

The Mexican-owned chain is famous for its top-rated properties, all of which include unlimited access to Xcaret theme parks included in the rate, as well as a broad range of indoor and outdoor entertainment experiences.
