Forbes is one of the premier raters of hotels and resorts around the world.
The publication chooses the best hotels and resorts in different categories each year and just released its list of the best adult-only all-inclusive resorts in Mexico.
Based on that list, these are the best adult-only Mexican Caribbean all-inclusives according to Forbes, grouped by location.
Cancun
Cancun is the number one vacation destination in the Mexican Caribbean.
It’s a destination known for its all-inclusive resorts.
Two of these made it to Forbes’ list of the best adult-only all-inclusives.
- Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun – A sprawling resort with 8 restaurants, 2 bars, an award-winning spa, an infinity pool, and a private beach.
- TRS Coral Hotel – A luxurious resort featuring 16 restaurants, 13 bars, a modern spa, and multiple pools.

Playa Del Carmen
Playa del Carmen used to be a quieter alternative to Cancun but has become extremely popular over the years.
It has the same beautiful Mexican Caribbean coastline, vibrant nightlife, and plenty of amazing all-inclusives.
Four of these made the Forbes list.
- Hotel Xcaret Arte – A 900-suite hotel with 10 restaurants, and several bars, but the best amenity here is unlimited access to all Xcaret parks.
- La Casa De La Playa – Xcaret’s version of a boutique hotel, with only 63 suites, 4 restaurants, one of which is run by a celebrity chef, and access to Xcaret parks.
- Platinum Yucatan Princess – An all-suite hotel surrounded by lush greenery, several unique pools, and a secluded beach, with 9 bars and 5 restaurants.
- Hilton Playa Del Carmen – A simple but elegant all-suite all-inclusive with 2 beautiful pools, 7 restaurants, and 3 bars, only steps from famous Fifth Avenue.

Puerto Morelos
Puerto Morelos is a quiet little town about 40 minutes south of Cancun.
Characterized by its small fishing village past, it is a charming town with beautiful beaches and a laid-back atmosphere.
While Puerto Morelos has fewer all-inclusives than the larger destinations, one did make Forbes’ list.

Cozumel
Just off the coast of Playa del Carmen, Cozumel is an island paradise with a laid-back vibe.
Measuring 30 miles long and just under 10 miles wide, it is the largest island in the Mexican Caribbean.
In Cozumel, you’ll find a mix of traditional and boutique hotels, hostels, and all-inclusives, one of which is one of the best all-inclusives in Mexico.
- The Explorean Cozumel – A nature-inspired hotel with gourmet all-inclusive dining, drinks, a spa, and a daily excursion, like snorkeling, included.

Tulum
Tulum has everything that all of the other amazing Mexican Caribbean destinations have but with a little more authenticity and history.
It’s the only destination with cliffside, seafront Mayan ruins, and is the perfect place to explore nature too.
While there are not a ton of all-inclusives in Tulum, one made the Forbes list.
- Kore Tulum Retreat and Spa Resort – A stunning resort situated within a protected natural paradise, with a spa, an infinity pool, and even a cenote, as well as 6 restaurants and bars.

Akumal
Akumal is a diverse natural paradise only a little over an hour south of Cancun.
It has beautiful beaches, caves, cenotes, an underground river, lagoons, and coral reefs to explore.
There are a surprising number of all-inclusives in Akumal, and one made Forbes’ list.
