Weekly Flights From U.S. To Cancun On Southwest Airlines

Part of the increase in direct flights results from three routes switching to daily service, which are the Austin, Kansas City, and St. Louis to Cancun routes.

Another factor that contributed to the increase is the addition of nonstop flights from Nashville, Phoenix, and San Antonio to Cancun.

There is one flight a week available from each of these three cities.

When You Should Book Your Flight To Cancun

When you book your Cancun flight depends on when you’re going.

If you’re booking a flight for one of the year-round routes, you can book a few months in advance, which is the ideal time frame.

If you’re booking a seasonal flight, on the other hand, your booking window may be slightly shorter since airlines often announce the schedules shortly before they start.

In this case, you should book as soon as possible after seasonal flights are announced.

Why Nearly Every Airline Is Increasing Connectivity With Cancun

Cancun’s explosive popularity is why so many airlines are adding routes to the destination and increasing flight frequencies.

Cancun Airport operates between 500 and 600 flights a day and welcomed more than 30 million passengers last year, breaking an all-time record.

This increase in tourism numbers has led to the need for more seats on airplanes flying to the popular destination.

When To Visit Cancun

Deciding on when is the best time to visit Cancun depends on what your vacation goals are.

If you want to save some money, then late summer to early fall is the best time to visit. If you’re looking for more flight options, the winter is when you want to plan your vacation, and if you want to avoid the crowds, you’ll probably want to skip spring break time.

There really is no bad time for a Cancun vacation, but these are the things to consider in order to get the experience you want on your Cancun dream vacation.
