As a tourism destination, Cancun has dominated as the choice for Americans who want to enjoy sun, sea, and sand for decades.

The destination has always been seen as offering just about everything. Amazing white sand beaches, clear blue water, a year-round sunny climate, nightlife that shames the techno-loving European destinations, and locals that welcome American travelers with open arms and genuine warmth.

But, one area where Cancun wants to excel even more in is shopping. While there are a few small malls dotted throughout the destination, they are far from being a draw for travelers and mostly serve as hotspots for souvenir hunters.

Well, all that is about to change because Cancun is soon to be home to the biggest luxury shopping mall in all of Latin America.

In a region home to huge and financially rich cities such as Mexico City and Buenos Aires, it’s the super popular Cancun that is about to be the shopping mecca for every nation south of the United States border!

The Grand Outlet Riviera Maya

Already being colloquially called the GO Mall, this amazing new addition to Cancun is far from just another city mall.

It is a luxury shopping outlet that will house some amazing brands from across both Mexico and the United States. As well as being designed with beauty and ease of navigation in mind.

As well as an outrageously good selection of stores, the mall will also have many fantastic dining establishments and plenty of complimentary entertainment to help break up the shopping experience.

A Perfect Location

Situated in the popular location of Puerto Morelos, a small but luxurious destination set right between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, the location is perfect for travelers from both city destinations to get out for a day of shopping.

In fact, the mall is just a short drive of 8 miles south from Cancun airport, and travel times from some of the most popular destinations in the Maya Riviera are as follows:

Hotel Zone: 30-40 minutes.

Downtown Cancun: 40 minutes.

Playa del Carmen: 25-35 minutes.

Playa Paraiso: 15-20 minutes.

Akumal: 50-60 minutes.

Tulum: 1 hour & 15-30 minutes.

Designed To Wow Visitors

While no mall is designed to bore its visitors, they’re not usually the most interesting structures built in a town. More often than not they are simple boxes that without branding could be mistaken for an Amazon warehouse.

This is where the GO Mall, really stands apart. After all, Latin America’s biggest luxury mall certainly deserves a more creative approach to its design. A mission that has been clearly achieved.

The mall is built around a huge central promenade with grassy spaces, as well as a mesmerizing water feature that mimics the beachfront of the Riviera Maya.

In fact, the developers have incorporated everything from dancing water fountains and mini-lakes to a large beach club that keeps the Caribbean vibe alive even during a shopping trip.

Eat And Play All Day

Shopping can be hungry work, and travelers will have no shortage of places to dine. Big chains such as Wingstop and Starbucks have already confirmed, as well as awesome establishments like Dons Tacos, Xixi Wok, Milos Restaurante, Sash-Tao Sushi and many more.

No matter a traveler’s preferred taste, there will be something for them at the GO Mall.

On top of fantastic dining, the entertainment choices at the mall are also outstanding. These include an ice rink, amusement park, hot air balloon, aquarium, outdoor activity park and go-kart circuit, as well as a 7,500-seat auditorium that promises an extensive package of performances.

The World’s Best Brands

With this amazing backdrop of design and entertainment, the standard is set high across the board. And the brands that have chosen to call the GO Mall their home in Mexico don’t disappoint.

Travelers will be able to browse at Dolce & Gabbana, an Armani outlet, True Religion, Carolina Herrera, Asics, Crocs, Hugo Boss, Forever 21, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas, Levi’s, and 173 more stores!

With so many options to shop, as well as the huge dining and entertainment selection, travelers will need a whole day to experience everything the GO Mall offers.

This Large Mall with also have Large Price's. This whole area is becoming a place where the Average family can no longer afford. Mexicans will never be able to afford this mall. I have lived in Puerto Morelos for two years and prices have Doubled for everything. Its a double edged sword ⚔️ Mexicans love our Dollars but blame us for price increases and lack of affordable housing. The Mexican Government and Developers are cashing in but do ZERO for their own people. There is no infrastructure here. Hiway 307 has been the same for 25 year's. When it rains in Puerto Morelos all the streets flood big time. Roadside trash is mind boggling, piles of trash everywhere. They need a 2 Peso deposit on all plastic bottles and aluminum cans. The residents would have an incentive to clean up the pollution.I try my best to support local shops and restaurants. I'll never support this Mall.
