News about the new Maya Train has been released in bits as the different sections have opened, and one thing that’s been sufficiently reported on is the Cancun Airport Maya Train station.
Knowing where it is, though, is only half of the equation, and what you’re really probably wondering is what the best way to get to the station is.
That information has now been released, too, so read on to find out everything you need to know about getting to and from Cancun’s new Maya Train station.
Cancun’s New Maya Train Station
Cancun has one new Maya Train station that is located on the Cancun Airport property. This is the only Maya Train station in Cancun.
Visitors who want to use the Maya Train, whether upon arrival or at a later date during their trip, will have to get to this station.
The Cancun Maya Train station operates as the train’s headquarters and is the largest station within the project.

Getting To The Maya Train Station From The Airport
Thanks to the close proximity of the Maya Train station to Cancun Airport, getting to the station upon arrival is quick, simple, and free.
Transfers from the airport to the train station will be provided by electric minibuses.
The trip, which will include stops at each terminal, will take only about 20 minutes.

How To Get To The Maya Train Station From Cancun
Getting to the Maya Train station from Cancun’s Hotel Zone or the downtown area will be a little bit trickier, but there are a couple of options.
There’s always the option of taking a taxi, but taxis are expensive in Cancun.
The better option is taking the ADO bus service, which has been set to operate as a transfer service for the Maya Train station.

Everything You Need To Know About ADO Transfers
There are two areas in Cancun where you can catch an ADO bus that will take you to the ADO bus station in Cancun Airport.
From there, you’ll then be able to be transferred to the Maya Train station.
The location of the transfer stops are downtown Cancun at Plaza Las Americas and at Kabah and Lopez Portillo Avenues in the center of town.
Tickets for these transfers will cost around $7 and can be purchased at the ADO stations and the Maya Train station. The service will be offered multiple times every day.

Taking A Taxi To Get To The Cancun Maya Train Station
A taxi can be a convenient way to get from downtown Cancun or the Hotel Zone to the Maya Train station, but as mentioned before, it’s also not cheap.
A one-way ride to Cancun Airport by taxi can cost as much as $65.

The Future Of The Maya Train Project
The Maya Train project may not be complete yet, but it won’t be long before it is fully operational.
Officials say it will be February before all sections and stations are open.
