Cancun is anticipating a wave of tourists for the upcoming Easter holiday. “We estimate more than 665 thousand tourists this Easter,” said the Secretary of Tourism-Quintana Roo, Marisol Vanegas.
The numbers reflect the destination’s accessibility, as it continues to wholeheartedly welcome tourists at this time.
While many countries are closing their borders to American and foreign tourists, Mexico remains one of the most popular tourist destinations due to its readiness and relatively convenient entry requirements in comparison to the former.

Entry Requirements for U.S. Travelers Arriving in Mexico
Mexico has some of the most relaxed entry requirements in the world and traveling to the country is almost as simple as it was before. Americans will need to follow all mask rules on flights and fill out an online health declaration prior to arrival.
Travelers are not required to carry travel insurance for entry into Mexico.
The Cancun Sun highly recommends visitors have proper medical insurance that covers COVID-19 while in Mexico.
